What Is Inked Weddings?
Founded in 2012, Inked Weddings started as a concept to develop bridal accessories for the tattooed and tattoo loving couples who wanted accessories to suit their style. While the idea was being developed a new inspiration was born - to create a wedding blog that featured everything that I loved about unique and being myself in my “Ink”. Inked Weddings strives to feature nontraditional wedding inspiration that highlights the beauty of standing out and the comfort of fitting in somewhere. At Inked Weddings, we love you and your Ink.
Is Inked Weddings Only about Inked (Tattooed) Brides?
Absolutely not! We use the term “Ink” and “Inked” to encompass a multitude of different styles and wedding themes - as long as they fall under the “umbrella” of being unique, creative, non-traditional, offbeat, geeky, nerdy, tattooed, cosmic, pinup, retro or whatever other “title” you are looking to use - as long as you are alternative, your wedding is welcome here. Tattooed brides were the basis of our inspiration because brides are often expected to cover up their ink for their wedding day - and we look to embrace all brides that are proud of the skin they are in and are proud to walk an off-beaten path.
How Do I Submit My Engagement or Real Wedding To Inked Weddings?
Before submitting content to Inked Weddings, please read the Submission Guidelines and Requirements and fill out the form on the appropriate submission form page
Do You Accept Engagement Sessions, Boudoir Photography, Client’s Weddings?
We do accept submissions for engagements for our Sunday Ink feature and pre-wedding photography if it will inspire. We somehow equate boudoir photos to being a bit naughty, in an alternative pinup good way, so we are not opposed as long as they remain tactful. Please note that we carefully consider all submissions and may not be able to publish your content immediately. The quickest way to get featured is if you become a sponsor.
How Do You Select Which Weddings To Feature?
We like to feature everyone’s wedding, we wish we could! There are several factors that will affect your chance for being featured: volume of submissions, variety of submissions, timing, and what we have currently planned.
Do You Accept Product Submissions?
We do not accept product submissions at this time, but if you would like to become a sponsor, you may find out more information on our advertising page.
Do You Offer Guest Blogging Opportunities?
If you are a bride and wish to write an article for us about how you planned your non-traditional wedding planning or projects, we welcome you to write for us! Please note, we do not have a budget for guest bloggers and there is no compensation for guest blogging other than a link to your non-commercial website. Please note, by submitting an article you are granting consent for us to publish it and it becomes property of InkedWeddings.com
