Looking for A Unique Bachelorette Idea in NYC? Hack the Met!

Unique Bachelorette Party NYCSource

Since I was a teenager, one of my favorite things to do in NYC is visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art (AKA the “Met” for you NYers).  As a matter of fact, if I could plan my dream wedding it would be in the Met, but it would set me back 60,000 or so in a contribution PLUS the cost of of the entire wedding! Way out of my league!

So when I stumbled across a tweet mentioning a unique bachelorette party tour hosted in the Met in NYC, I was excited.  (Even though there’s no ring on my finger yet, a girl can still plan!) How fun would it be to have drinks on the rooftop garden overlooking the Manhattan skyline followed by a private tour?  It sparked my interest so I hopped over to Museum Hack’s Bachelorette Party Page to check it out. I know some of the museum’s highlights can be a bit risqué - wouldn’t it be fun to take photos with the girls next to an ancient nude sculpture and point out he’s missing some of his most private parts?  Ok, maybe it was my 5th grade humor kicking in, but I was giddy over the idea.

Museum Hack boasts it hosts “classy bachelorette parties in Manhattan at the Metropolitan Museum of Art” and each tour is customized to your party. It doesn’t have to be trashy, it can involve visiting the American Wing, Musical Instruments, Modern and Contemporary Galleries, and Asian Galleries - or any galleries of the bride’s choosing.  They can highlight your favorite pieces or get saucy if you want.  With an entire art gallery available for your private tour, you can view everything you love or everything about love.

Or they can get a bit raunchy and see butts.  Lots of butts and ancient Greek and Roman nudes - even show you the only sex scene on display.  Plus there’s wine.  Lots of wine.

If you’re looking for a unique bachelorette party idea in NYC that won’t set you and your girls back a small fortune, this may be exactly what you’re looking for.  Ranging from $79 to $99 dollars per person you can plan your fête any day of the week - but I’d recommend their Friday or Saturday night package from 6pm to 9pm and then follow it with dinner and dancing in NYC.
